Co-founder and CEO. Thinesh leads Lapasar's mission to build the e-commerce platform where procurement professionals source and buy daily business essentials — turning a 2018 conviction into Malaysia's B2B procurement leader.
Background
Thinesh founded Lapasar in 2018 with the conviction that Malaysia's B2B procurement market was fundamentally underserved. Large corporations and SMEs alike were sourcing daily business essentials through fragmented, manual channels — with no price transparency, no delivery guarantees, and no centralised visibility over spend. He and co-founder Lakshman built the business from the ground up, combining owned logistics infrastructure — bonded warehouses, a proprietary delivery fleet, and a full-stack technology platform — to give procurement professionals a single, reliable source for everything from office supplies to FMCG goods at wholesale prices.
Under Thinesh's leadership Lapasar has grown into Malaysia's largest B2B procurement marketplace, serving corporate enterprises, government-linked companies, office management teams, and FMCG wholesale buyers. His work connects product strategy, operational execution, and capital allocation into a unified growth agenda. He is a recurring voice in the Malaysian tech and entrepreneurship ecosystem on topics including supply-chain digitisation, procurement innovation, and the infrastructure moat that separates durable platform businesses from asset-light e-commerce models.
